JEC World 2019, the world’s largest composites industry trade event, is upcoming, March 12-14 at Paris-Nord Villepinte in Paris, France. There will be more than 1,300 exhibitors at the 2019 event, representing every link in the composites industry’s supply chain, including software, materials, machinery and tooling suppliers, as well as fabricators and important end market OEMs.

Exhibit previews

  • 3A Composites: 3A Composites Core Materials is launching its reformulated AIREX T92 core, as well as its BALTEK SealX and Adaptive ContourKore balsa cores.
  • Airborne: Airborne is showcasing its Digital Client Portal.
  • AZL Aachen: The Aachen Center for Integrative Lightweight Production (AZL) is featuring its Ultra-Fast Consolidator Machine, which is one of three finalists for the JEC Award 2019 in the category of Industry and Equipment.
  • Bally Ribbon Mills: Bally Ribbon Mills is highlighting its 3D weaving capabilities.
  • Biontec: Biontec is presenting a range of complex components from sports and leisure to machinery equipment to space applications.
  • Biteam: Biteam is featuring a range of carbon fiber 3D noodles or preforms to fill deltoid or triangular cavities.
  • Bond Laminates: Bond-Laminates is featuring its Tepex continuous fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composites.
  • CGTech: CGTech is demonstrating how advanced programming strategies and simulation can lead to better composite parts.
  • Chomarat: Chomarat is exhibiting its latest woven and multiaxial carbon fiber reinforcements.
  • Cobra: Cobra International is presenting its expanded capacity and increased capabilities for large composite components.
  • Eisenmann: Eisenmann Thermal Solutions is featuring its thermal production systems for the manufacture of carbon fiber.
  • Engel: Engel Austria is presenting its technologies for organomelt processing, in-situ polymerization, HP-RTM and flow molding with SMC.
  • Fives: Fives is presenting its next-generation sensor for in-process inspection of carbon fiber-reinforced layups.
  • Fraunhofer IPT: Fraunhofer Institutes for Production Technology is emphasizing work it did with Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology to develop industrial solutions for hybrid lightweight design by combining metal and polymer-matrix composites for automotive and aerospace applications.
  • Future Materials Group: Future Materials Group, a business consultancy and advisory group specializing in the high-value manufacturing and advanced materials sectors, is running one-to-one Think Tank sessions.
  • Henkel: Henkel is presenting Loctite EA 9378 AERO, a next-generation liquid shim material.
  • Hexcel: Hexcel is featuring a range of composite innovations for customer applications in aerospace, automotive, energy and marine markets.
  • Huntsman: Huntsman Corp. is introducing a new RIMLINE HC+ PU resin system that is said to offer significant benefits for automotive interior vehicle design and efficiency.
  • Institut für Textiltechnik at RWTH Aachen University : The Institute für Textiltechnik at RWTH Aachen University (ITA) and the Aachen Center for Integrative Lightweight Construction (AZL) are demonstrating expertise in glass fibers, preforms and textile concrete.
  • Kordsa: Kordsa is showcasing its fabric development, textile products and advanced honeycomb technologies.
  • KraussMaffei: KraussMaffei is focusing on its FiberForm process, pultrusion and unidirectional (UD) tapes.
  • L&L Products: L&L Products is introducing A-K321 and A-K322, acrylic-based, fast-curing, two-component toughened structural adhesives that provide primerless adhesion to most metals, thermoplastics and composites.
  • LAP Laser: LAP Laser is featuring flexible applications of the DTEC-PRO camera system.
  • Michelman: Michelman is introducing its family of Unyte surface modifiers formulated specifically for manufacturers of technical textiles and prepreg fabrics.
  • Mikrosam: Mikrosam is showcasing its equipment and sample parts built for applications of thermoplastics for aerospace, automotive, and oil and gas, as well as high-capacity automated lines for compressed nitrogen gas (CNG) and hydrogen tanks.
  • Netzsch: Netzsch is featuring technology it developed in collaboration with Kistler to create advanced technology for intelligent composites parts production.
  • Porcher Industries: Porcher Industries (Badinières, France) is emphasizing work it recently completed with Meggitt to develop a new SATCOM radome.
  • RAMPF Group: RAMPF Group Inc. is highlighting two epoxy systems for composites manufacturing. 
  • Refitech: Refitech is exhibiting its carbon fiber guide dog handle, a finalist for the JEC 2019 Innovation Award.
  • Roth Composite Machinery: Roth Composite Machinery is featuring its competences in filament winding, prepreg and organic sheet production. 
  • SABIC: SABIC is highlighting the progress of its Digital Composites Manufacturing line, an automated digital system for rapid, large-scale laminate manufacturing, via a 360-degree virtual reality experience.
  • Sartomer and Arkema: Sartomer is featuring specialty solutions that enable high-performance, low-VOC composites systems. 
  • Scott Bader: Scott Bader is launching two products: the Crestafire intumescent FST system and Crestapol 1270, a new premium urethane acrylate resin for SMCs and BMCs.
  • Sicomin: Sicomin is launching MaxCore, a new sandwich core designed for infusion processes. 
  • Sika Advanced Resins: Sika Advanced Resins is unveiling Ullit’s composite tank for trucks that run on compressed natural gas (CNG).
  • Solvay: Solvay Composite Materials is featuring technologies and product forms designed to reduce cycle times, increase structural integration and enable use of automated fabrication processes.
  • Technical Fibre Products: Technical Fibre Products is launching its range of next-generation surfacing and adhesive support veils.
  • Teijin: Teijin Ltd. is introducing a new prepreg composed of unidirectional carbon fiber tape with a bismaleimide (BMI) matrix resin.
  • Thomas Technik + Innovation: Thomas Technik + Innovation is showcasing manufacturing technology that can produce affordable carbon fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) parts in high enough volumes for the mainstream automotive industry.
  • Victrex and Coriolis: Victrex and Coriolis Composites are announcing cooperative work they did with thermoplastic unidirectional tape (TP UDT) prepreg lay-up and consolidation to improve the manufacturing efficiency of composite parts.
  • Wabash MPI and Carver: Wabash MPI and Carver Inc. are highlighting their lines of hydraulic and pneumatic presses for the composites industry.
  • Web Industries: Web Industries’ Aerospace division is featuring its capabilities in the formatting of flexible thermoplastic composite materials for next-generation aerospace applications.
