JEC World 2019 preview: Airborne

Airborne (The Hague, Netherlands) will showcase its Digital Client Portal at its JEC World 2019 booth, Stand R11, Hall 6. The online manufacturing platform enables clients to quickly design and order laminates for production within the company’s automated laminating cell at its facility in The Hague.

Show visitors will be able to use the platform from the booth to design, configure and order laminates in real time. Upon ordering, the production files are automatically verified and sent to Airborne’s facility. The total manufacturing process, from design to tape-laying at the Airborne factory, will be shown live at the booth, and visitors can sign up on Airborne’s website.

In 2018, Airborne developed the complete production flow for a tailored blank, from blank configuration to robot code generation. This process is said to give clients an easy-to-use experience while enabling direct control over the process so that they can make decisions driven by real-time information. With this portal, clients get direct feedback on the performance, cost and delivery time of a design.
