Big Dog Adhesives (Elkhart, Ind., U.S.) redefines large-volume adhesive applications with its methyl methacrylate adhesives (MMA) Sausage System, an efficient, user-friendly solution engineered for professionals who demand performance, precision and speed. The company’s adhesive sausages are available in 300 and 600 mL sizes and are compatible with a wide range of formulas, including Big Dog Adhesives’ MMA, epoxy and urethane adhesives.
Designed to reduce waste, lower application costs and streamline workflow, Big Dog’s Sausage System is ideal for high-volume fabrication, assembly and installation environments across multiple industries — from marine and transportation to signage, composites, woodworking and more. By using prefilled sausages instead of traditional buckets, cartridges or pressure pots, users minimize material exposure, reduce mess and save time on both cleanup and preparation. This results in a more controlled, consistent process and better results on every job.
At the heart of this system is the company’s patent-pending sausage gun. This tool is built for durability, performance and convenience. Featuring two color-coded barrels — one red, one yellow — it enables easy identification and loading of A and B components. The gun’s reusable puncture cap eliminates the need to cut or clip the sausage tops — just load, snap and go. A secure screw-on static mixing tip ensures consistent, high-quality blending of the two components, while the adjustable speed control offers precision for both fast flow and more detailed application work.
Whether working on large structural bonding jobs or detailed fabrication tasks, the Big Dog Sausage System is reported to deliver smoother dispensing, faster production times and improved material use. The result? A cleaner job site, reduced downtime and a more professional finish.
