Ruhrbot-Labs Debuts 2K-Buddy Two-Component Dispensing System
The compact device automatically meters and mixes epoxy resin, polyurethane and other two-component materials through a static mixing nozzle, eliminating manual measuring and disposable mixing cups.

Ruhrbot-Labs (Oberhausen, Germany) has introduced 2K-Buddy, a compact dispensing and mixing system designed to automate the handling of two-component materials such as epoxy resin and polyurethane. The device meters both components in a user-selected ratio and feeds them directly through a static mixing nozzle, removing the manual measuring, mixing-cup preparation and hand-stirring steps typically associated with two-component processing — a workflow relevant to composites users working in resin systems, moldmaking and small-batch production.
The system uses app-connected control to manage dosing, with adjustable ratio settings for compatible materials and support for priming and direct dispensing. Ruhrbot-Labs says the same core dosing and mixing mechanism underlies two planned product configurations: an Art-Line version built around a compact polymer housing aimed at makers, model makers and prop builders, and an Industrial-Line version featuring a stainless steel enclosure with additional silicone or rubber sealing elements, aimed at prototyping labs and small professional production environments. The company states that, at the current development stage, enclosure design is the primary difference between the two lines.
Ruhrbot-Labs is a two-person team that began developing 2K-Buddy in early 2024, drawing on combined backgrounds in industrial engineering, automation, robotics, CNC machine design, model making and additive manufacturing. The project originated from the founders’ own recurring frustration with manual two-component workflows — including material waste from safety-margin overestimation, air introduced during hand mixing and inconsistent pours from disposable-cup preparation — while working on prototypes, custom parts and RC models.
Marvin Werners, co-founder of Ruhrbot-Labs, says the company built 2K-Buddy through multiple prototype generations and an integrated companion app, and that it is prioritizing direct feedback from makers over traditional marketing as the product moves toward production.
