First Strategic Acquisition Preps Afterwind for On-Site Wind Blade Cutting Expansion
An accumulation of Advantis A/S equipment, IP and technologies will strengthen Afterwind’s end-to-end recycling efforts and mark its entry into the Danish market.

European circular advanced materials company Afterwind (Gothenburg, Sweden) has completed its first strategic acquisition with the purchase of selected assets from the bankruptcy estate of Advantis A/S (Søften) in Denmark, marking an important milestone in the company’s long-term strategy to build a European circular advanced materials platform for composite assets.
The transaction includes Advantis’ proprietary wind turbine blade cutting equipment, intellectual property, patents and associated technology. Through the preservation and further development of these innovations, Afterwins strengthens its technology platform and expands its operational capabilities for industrial-scale composite recycling and on-site servicing of large composite structures — e.g., wind blade cutting and sectioning of other oversized composite structures — all in an effort to enable more efficient recovery, transportation and recycling of materials. This further strengthens the company’s ability to support wind farm owners, OEMs and industrial partners throughout the entire value chain, from asset
recovery and logistics to the production of fully traceable circular advanced materials.
The transaction also establishes Afterwind’s presence in Denmark, expanding the company’s footprint across the Nordic region and bringing its circular solutions closer to customers and partners.

Technology and equipment will be integrated into Afterwind’s operations over the coming months.
