ORE Catapult Launches Wind Blade Damage Survey
Engineers, operators and asset owners are invited to share insights on blade damage as part of an ORE Catapult initiative to shape future testing and research priorities.

Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult (ORE Catapult, Blyth, U.K.) is conducting an industry survey to gather current perspectives on wind turbine blade damage mechanisms.
As wind turbines continue to scale up and blade lengths exceed 100 meters, understanding how these structures respond to complex environmental loads has become an increasingly important focus for the industry. Through the survey, ORE Catapult aims to collect input from engineers, operators, asset owners and other technical specialists to better understand how damage mechanisms are currently viewed across the sector, with the goal of informing future testing and research priorities.
The survey takes about 5 minutes to complete and is open now. It will remain open until the end of August.
Responses will be anonymized, and an executive summary of the findings will be made available following the close of the survey.
