According to a LinkedIn announcement, the collaboration is built around a shared ambition: shortening the route from plant to product. It is expected to expand the reach of Fuse’s bio-based semi-finished products — the company uses hemp fibers cultivated in Europe — and support development of end-use applications built from natural fiber composites.
Fuse’s product line includes unidirectional natural fiber tape produced through slitting, multiaxial tape laying, tape weaving and prepreg processes, which the company positions as a lower-carbon-footprint alternative to glass fiber in composite products. According to Fuse, the new partnership gives the company a sales partner in the Netherlands with material expertise, processing know-how and product development capabilities. Through this collaboration, Fuse’s materials will be brought to a wider market by helping companies evaluate, process and translate them into practical products and applications.
Eve Reverse describes itself as a team of composites experts focused on developing carbon-negative composite solutions, aiming to keep the CO2 emitted during processing lower than the CO2 captured during the growth of the plant materials used. The company helps other businesses make decisions in composite product development by combining engineering, material knowledge and practical experience, and works across natural fiber, glass and carbon fiber materials depending on the application.
