In addition to the expansion of its European footprint in Nantes, Web Industries Inc. (Marlborough, Mass., U.S.) is also strategically expanding capacity at its Denton, Texas, facility with the addition of laser technology, reinforcing its broader capability growth initiatives.

Designed to process flexible composite materials requiring precision laser cutting, this new equipment will significantly increase Web Industries’ productivity and throughput. It will also enhance the company’s ability to serve fast-paced, high-demanding markets with Tier 1 quality for consumer goods, technical textiles, aeronautics and space, and other high-precision industries.

“This investment is a pivotal step in our innovation strategy,” notes John Madej, president and CEO. Enhanced capabilities include optimal repeatability for complex geometries, increased capacity for high-volume manufacturing, reduced waste and accelerated production cycles and improved productivity.

“This addition gives our operations a significant boost, strengthening our ability to deliver precision-formatted geometries while supporting large-scale serial production and meeting the stringent requirements of advanced automated processes,” adds Mackenzie Millick, Denton plant manage. “This investment reinforces our commitment to providing our customers with faster lead times, unwavering quality  and greater production flexibility.”

Established in 2010, the Denton facility was custom-built to serve the expanding advanced composites ply cutting, ply kitting and material management needs in and around Texas. It also serves the multilayer insulation (MLI) markets, cutting, assembling and shipping MLI blankets and CAD Cut Cryokits.
