At CAMX 2026, Zünd America (Oak Creek, Wis., U.S.) and booth partner Loop Technology (Dorchester, U.K.) are demonstrating digital manufacturing solutions aimed at improving efficiency, precision and traceability in composites production.

Zünd’s cutting and kitting technologies are designed to streamline workflows from job preparation to kit delivery. Digital cut-job preparation and nesting software optimize part placement while accounting for material defects, irregular stock shapes and production requirements, with the goal of maximizing material use, reducing waste and improving consistency. Data-driven workflows connect job information, material data and production processes to support process control, reduce manual handling and improve traceability, giving operators job information at each stage of production.

A featured technology at the booth will be Zünd’s Pick & Sort by Projection system, which uses projected visual guidance to support parts removal and sorting. The system is designed to reduce downstream identification and sorting errors while increasing throughput, particularly in high-mix, low-volume production environments.

Sharing the booth, Loop Technology will highlight FibreLINE, an automated system for high-rate manufacturing of large composite structures built around Zünd’s Aero Q-Line platform. FibreLINE automates the preforming process, cutting, sorting and sequencing large plies of carbon fiber and other composite materials before shaping and placing them into a mold for further processing. Within this workflow, the Aero Q-Line is designed to support production cell integration through a machine-to-machine interface, with a single-beam architecture and modular length intended to allow uninterrupted cutting of large-format parts.

Together, Zünd America and Loop Technology are presenting integrated digital workflows, cutting, kitting and material handling solutions to help composites manufacturers reduce waste and increase productivity in production scaled to large-format industrial applications.

Zund America Inc. | Loop Technology will be exhibiting new technology at CAMX 2026 in Atlanta, Georgia this September.
