Aether (Menlo Park, Calif., U.S.) is introducing RapidPrint, a polymer filament product line that unlocks accelerated 3D printing for high-performance engineering materials. Depending on printer and part configuration, RapidPrint enables up to 5X faster print speeds while maintaining optimal mechanical properties Aether reports, building aerospace, defense and industrial user productivity.

RapidPrint improves the flow of nylons. Aether’s first commercial formulation, RapidPrint PA6 CF10 ABX filament (a modified PA6 with 10% carbon fiber) is engineered for high flow, broad printer compatibility and optimal surface finish, printing easily between 50-250 mm/s.

The ability to print stronger parts dramatically faster matters most where designs evolve by the week. Defense and, in particular, drone manufacturers, increasingly rely on additive manufacturing for agile iteration, limited-run production and field repair. RapidPrint’s speed gains translate directly into higher rate production, shorter development cycles and greater supply chain resilience, all without sacrificing performance.

Aether is an AI company that discovers proteins with high-impact, real-world applications. At the core of its work is a Protein Function Model that can unlock new proteins for novel functions. Aether’s AI is being built on an entirely proprietary dataset developed in-house through advanced high-throughput screening and innovative assay technology. Using this platform, Aether is already translating its AI developments into practice, commercializing high-performance materials.
