Caracol (Milan, Italy and Austin, Texas, U.S.), a company known in the robotic large-format additive manufacturing (LFAM) space, is returning to JEC World for the fourth consecutive year with multiple case studies developed by clients in the mobility sector using its robotic LFAM platforms. At the Caracol booth, attendees can take a closer look at several of its sophisticated application-driven technologies implemented in projects around the world.
Gain insight into Caracol’s integrated ecosystem of robotic hardware platforms, proprietary software, materials, process and application know-how. Products on display include a train front cover developed with Alstom; a composite lamination tool for aircraft developed by Formes et Volumes; and a custom yacht hardtop developed with Treddy and Polymaker. A finished race car roof developed using Caracol technology by ES Garaj and LFAM Center, said to be the largest LFAM production center in Turkey, is also viewable.
“Robotic LFAM has an extensive range of applications across aerospace, marine and automotive manufacturing — all sectors facing intense pressure to improve production efficiency and flexibility in the current macroeconomic landscape,” says Paolo Cassis, co-founder and COO of Caracol. “JEC World is the perfect place to reconnect with leading players in these industries and discuss how our innovative tech meets evolving challenges in mobility parts engineering and manufacturing.”
Make sure to explore at the Caracol booth:
Industrial case studies. A selection of LFAM parts in composite and metal, demonstrate how robotic LFAM supports lightweight design, part consolidation and high-performance components in transportation contexts.
Integrated ecosystem in bird’s-eye. An overview of the LFAM supply chain from materials and processes to robotic hardware and software, with an emphasis on how it enables more flexible, efficient and sustainable manufacturing.
Live printing. An in-person demonstration of Heron AM’s precision, flexibility and consistent quality.
Expert advice. Caracol’s team are on hand to chat with attendees about individual manufacturing challenges over snacks and drinks.
