SAMPE announces launch plans for SAMPE 365 online community platform

The Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE, Diamond Bar, Calif., U.S.) announced on April 8 the expected launch of its new online platform, SAMPE 365, for early June 2021. In addition, SAMPE neXus, a three-day event celebrating the launch of its new virtual community platform, is planned for June 29-July 1, 2021.

SAMPE 365 is said to be the industry’s only perpetual community platform that serves members and the industry year-round. The platform will support, house and centralize SAMPE’s virtual educational content such as workshops, webinars and special events. The platform offers robust community engagement and will facilitate both self-directed and guided interaction amongst SAMPE’s industry, academia and government network, enabling a responsive sourcing of solutions for the industry’s biggest challenges.

According to SAMPE, the platform’s interactive features are what what set SAMPE 365 apart from standard websites. At any time of the day, users are able to reach out to each other directly, whether on a PC, tablet or phone, to locate other visitors through an interactive global map and connect in an online community of like-minded peers. Additional features include:

Educational resources: A centralized location for sourcing content within the entire advanced materials community. Explore videos, photos, case studies, reports, valuable links and more.
Groups: To improve engagement, SAMPE committees, chapters, faculty advisors and sponsors will have the opportunity to host private groups within the platform.
Featured forums: SAMPE will host topical forums (i.e., Additive Manufacturing, Sustainability, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, etc.) to engage with specialized audiences.
Partner showcases: Enables companies to highlight services, products and solutions.
User access: Members and non-members will have FREE access to the community.

As a value-add to SAMPE membership, some premium areas of SAMPE 365, such as specialized educational content, technical papers, discounted pricing for events, etc., will only be accessible to members.
