Caracol (Milan, Italy), a specialist in robotic large-format additive manufacturing (LFAM) systems, has announced a strategic partnership with CNC Robotics (Liverpool, U.K.), a specialist in robotic integration for both additive and subtractive manufacturing. The CNC Robotics team has expertise in developing bespoke robotic machining systems across aerospace, marine, automotive and composites sectors, and is a KUKA Platinum System Integrator.

The cornerstone of the partnership is the capability to assemble, integrate and service Caracol’s Heron AM and Vipra AM systems locally within the U.K. The joint partnership of Caracol, CNC Robotics and Caracol’s official U.K. reseller AM Futures is intended to create a comprehensive local infrastructure to support Caracol’s British customers from commercial engagement and deployment to technical integration and after-sales support. CNC Robotics’ milling robotics and custom configuration know-how enriches the solutions available with Caracol’s Heron AM and Vipra AM platforms, enabling increasingly tailored applications for the most demanding industrial requirements.

“By building a complete local ecosystem — with AM Futures and CNC Robotics — we are giving U.K. manufacturers access to the full power of our platforms, assembled and supported on home soil,” says Francesco De Stefano, CEO and co-founder of Caracol. “At a time when reshoring and supply chain resilience are top priorities across British industry, we want Caracol to be the partner manufacturers can count on.”

“As Caracol’s key partner in the U.K., we’re not only bringing cutting-edge large-format additive manufacturing technology to the market — we’re backing it with local technical expertise, responsive on-the-ground support and strong commercial guidance,” says Jason Barker, founder and CTO at CNC Robotics. “Together with Caracol, we’re enabling manufacturers across the U.K. to adopt advanced AM (additive manufacturing) solutions with confidence and clarity.”
