Vericut CNC simulation software enhances machining precision with AI
Vericut (CGTech) introduces Vericut 9.6, featuring AI-driven tools and productivity enhancements for streamlined workflows and improved shop floor collaboration.
Vericut USA (CGTech, Irvine, Calif., U.S.) announces the release of Vericut 9.6, the latest version of its CNC simulation, verification and optimization software for composites fabricators. This update introduces advanced AI capabilities and a range of productivity-focused enhancements designed to simplify machining workflows, improve collaboration and provide real-world usability across the shop floor.
A few key enhancements include:
- Display and document 3D product manufacturing information (PMI), including dimensions and annotations compliant with ISO 10303/STEP AP242 standards.
- Define driven points more accurately and automatically qualify tools for faster, more precise lathe setups.
- A simplified Optimization Control window and default tool data make it easier to fine-tune feed rates and improve cutting performance with fewer clicks.
- Extended support for Siemens Run MyVirtual Machine and Fanuc Robot T.P. language.
- Expanded support in multiple interfaces, including NX auto-loading of stock, fixtures and designs.
- New report templates, enhanced machine connectivity, solid model textures and better tool import from MachiningCloud.
Vericut 9.6 brings two AI-driven tools intended to redefine how operators interact with the software:
Vericut Assistant (VA), is an integrated in-software guide that provides instant, context-aware support. Whether operators need help with settings, simulation steps or tool configurations, VA addresses queries directly within the interface, aiming to reduce training time and unlock more value from Vericut’s robust features.
Vericut Intelligence (VI) is a web-based knowledge hub that offers 24/7 access to AI-powered insights across Vericut’s full suite, including Force, Composites, Optimizer and more. From broad concepts to specific features, VI serves as a smart, searchable companion for all things Vericut.
Vericut Reviewer, a free tool for reviewing NC programs, has also been upgraded to support auto-diff results. Improvements to the user interface add HUD status displays and custom hot keys, making it easier to review, share and analyze simulations across teams.
