The SPE Thermoset Division’s (Bethel, Conn., U.S.) first keynote speaker for the May 12-23, 2026, Thermoset TopCon event is Matt Seitz, director of AI Hub for Business at the University of Wisconsin.
Seitz has a passion for driving growth through technology and AI, bringing 30 years of experience helping organizations solve business challenges through technology. As director of the University of Wisconsin’s AI Hub, Seitz leads initiatives to advance AI research while fostering industry partnerships and preparing students for AI leadership roles. He authors a widely-read newsletter on AI and regularly delivers keynote presentations on technology and AI for business.
His keynote, “Artificial Intelligence and How it Can Benefit Manufacturing,” will focus on how leaders can apply AI to benefit their business. It will cover “adoption trends and the four levels of impact” from personal productivity to strategic differentiation. Drawing from case studies, Seitz will include guidance on prioritizing AI initiatives along with practical applications for business and personal productivity.
About 75% of enterprises report positive ROI on AI investments and 88% plan to increase investment in 2026. Companies that have scaled AI enjoy a 1.5 times higher revenue growth and 1.4 times higher return on invested capital.
