Scalable automation technologies drive composites efficiency, consistency

Magnum Venus Products (MVP, Knoxville, Tenn., U.S.) showcases how automation is evolving across its equipment portfolio to drive efficiency, consistency and scalability for composites manufacturers. This year’s exhibit focuses on integrated solutions that elevate production performance for both high-volume and specialized applications.
MVP is spotlighting advancements in its MVP Motion line, including new developments in four-axis filament winding. This high-performance technology supports wet winding and prepreg applications, delivering consistent, repeatable layups for pressure vessel and structural component manufacturing.
Also featured are automation-ready enhancements across MVP’s dispensing platforms, including the INV3 Injection System, a precision injection solution with automated controls, digital monitoring and enhanced safety. The Independent Pump Drive (IPD) system delivers precision metering through programmable logic, closed-loop feedback, and scalable flow rates — ideal for integration into robotic and automated environments.
MVP also highlights Nitrotherm spray technology, which replaces compressed air with ionized and heated nitrogen. Used in gelcoat and chop applications, Nitrotherm improves transfer efficiency, reduces overspray and enhances surface quality, helping customers reduce waste while boosting consistency. A generator unit filters the compressor output, leaving only pure, heated, calmed-state nitrogen in its place. The uniform, nonreactive molecular makeup is ideal for carrying and distributing fluid coatings, eliminating both turbulence and static. Originally invented in Europe, Nitrotherm was brought to the U.S. market by Lesta USA and is now being distributed by MVP.
Also highlighted is growing industry adoption of Flex Molding, particularly when paired with Elkem’s silicone membranes. MVP says manufacturers in marine and industrial markets are using these systems to improve part quality, reduce consumables and streamline infusion workflows. Recent customer successes include BlueWind and Redneck Outdoor Products, which have scaled production with MVP’s Flex Molding expertise.
All of these advancements reflect MVP’s commitment to automation, data connectivity and system integration, delivering smart, scalable solutions that support Industry 4.0 initiatives.
