Boeing purchases six ATL machine from MTorres
The automated tape laying (ATL) machine will be installed at Boeing's Salt Lake City facility.
Boeing (Everett, WA, US) has purchased its sixth ATL machine from MTorres, which will be installed at the company's Salt Lake City facility. The other five ATL machines are at Boeing’s Salt Lake City and Tukwila, WA facilities. The six machine, as the previous ones, will manufacture the skins and spars for HTPs of the B787-Dreamliner program, and incorporates the multi-tape technology providing a reliable, high productivity product while reducing scrap.
