GatorBar introduces sliver-free GFRP rebar
GatorBar Grip is a non-polyester rebar for concrete reinforcement with enhanced bond strength and now offered with zero slivers.
GatorBar (Ahmeek, Mich., U.S.), a composite rebar manufacturer for concrete reinforcement, announces the release of GatorBar with Grip technology. GatorBar Grip is the latest generation of the company’s composite rebar offering zero slivers and increased bond strength. GatorBar Grip is immediately available through its wholesale, distribution and installation partners.
According to GatorBar CEO Erik Kiilunen, “GatorBar Grip is the same reliable bar but with vastly improved handling and tying characteristics as well as better bond strength. Grip represents GatorBar’s continued investment in concrete reinforcement technology while remaining the most economical, highest quality composite available meeting ICC structural requirements.”
GatorBar is a non-polyester glass fiber-reinforced composite rebar (GFRP) made in the U.S. The company claims pricing comparable to or better than steel with increased strength and performance, as well as enhanced installation, labor and transportation advantages. It is reported to be 2X stronger in tensile strength and 4X times lighter than steel. It also does not rust
