Global composites manufacturer and supplier, Dura Composites (Essex, U.K.), has announced The Invicta Group (Kent, U.K.) as its newest distribution partner for the company’s glass-reinforced polymer (GRP) walkway range within the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar and Saudi Arabia. The new partnership is the latest step towards bolstering the company’s distribution network and facilitating composites use for global customers.

The arrangement, Dura Composites says, will focus particularly on the company’s d2 GRP product range which delivers high performance-to-weight ratio, anti-slip durability and fire protection for maximum safety and efficiency.

The company points to one of its flagship products in the range, d2 Dura Grating, which achieves a Class B fire rating in accordance with the BS EN 13501-1 standard, making it suitable for a range of project installations where fire safety is an important consideration. In achieving a Euroclass rating of Bfl-s1, d2 Dura Grating offers the market the choice of enhanced fire safety built right into the composition of the product.

“Despite the various global challenges over the past couple of years, we have continued to see growth in the Middle East and have been keen to find the right distributor partner who recognizes the qualities of our d2 product range and can help us deliver on our ambitions for the region,” Jonathan Howard, head of growth at Dura Composites, says. “The Invicta Group has a strong reputation for quality and efficiency, and has spent over 35 years working on some of the biggest global infrastructure projects, so we’re confident that together we can provide a comprehensive service and set of solutions that offer a longer lifespan, improved durability and increased fire performance qualities.”

The Invicta Group is a specialist contractor with an ability to deliver turnkey designs. The company has operations and projects around the globe, including the provision of passive fire and blast protection systems for projects such as the Kuala Lumpur MRT, Dubai Metro and Riyadh Metro.

The distributorship with Dura Composites reportedly enables Invicta Group to enhance its offering to the rail, industrial, energy and transportation sectors with the provision of safer, stronger, faster and proven GRP floor grating, trench covers, platforms, structural stair treads and handrailing.

“We’re delighted to be partnering with Dura Composites,” James Beale, operations manager at The Invicta Group, adds. “With materials shortages and metal price increases hitting businesses across the globe, we’re pleased to be able to offer a readily available and more cost-effective set of composite solutions that we feel will enable our clients to realize their most critical projects on time and on budget.”
