Real Carbon, Inc., based in Washougal, Washington, has been designing and manufacturing custom carbon fiber components for over 37 years. Specializing in RF/EMI shielded enclosures for UAV’s and other high-performance applications, we combine in-house design, tooling, prototyping, CNC and production to streamline development, reduce costs, and accelerate time-to-market. With a focus on early-stage innovation and mission-critical performance, our team delivers lightweight, durable components built to withstand demanding structural and environmental requirements.

At Real Carbon, we bring over two decades of experience in digital design in composite manufacturing.

The experience we have gained allows us to leverage the relationship between tooling and processes which have a profound influence over product quality, and yield which can dramatically lower part costs. Tooling design drives process and lowers costs, this is an often ignored but extremely important aspect of designing cost competitive composite parts.

The correct selection of process and tool can cut a part cost in half, and lead to a more successful integration of the composite part into the product assembly, through improved quality and ability to meet tolerances.

Our expertise spans CAD, CAM, and CAE development specifically for composite applications. The models and engineering drawings we produce are directly exported to generate the CAM data used in CNC machining, enabling the creation of precision tooling for high-performance carbon fiber components.

 Parts we manufacture include: UAV enclosures; RF\EMI shielded enclosures, Dyneema armor, UAV parts, armored panels, orthotic devices, carbon fiber boxes, medical boards, medical arm-boards, carbon-fiber musical instruments, small-part compression molding.

We design and fabricate tooling in house, as well as CNC carbon fiber parts to provide a plug and play solution. We also Carakote (TM)  parts when needed.
