Shanghai Leadgo-Tech (Shanghai, China) is a manufacturer and global supplier of vacuum bagging process materials for the wind, aerospace, marine and other industrial innovation markets. The company has a manufacturing facility located in Ningbo, China, as well as a new location in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico. Branch offices reside in France and North America. Leadgo globally supplies vacuum bagging film, peel ply, release film, breather, infusion mesh, sealant tape, tubing, spiral wrap and pressure sensitive tapes, among other products.
The company notes commenced construction of its new Mexico-based facility back in November 2020. The plant is strategically situated with close proximity (37 miles/60 km) to Mexico’s third largest city, Monterrey. The facility’s addition is said to be a direct result of the company’s continuous expansion, and will directly support North and South American markets, with additional support of the global market as needed. The plant was completed in May 2021.
The first phase of the Leadgo Mexico facility covers an area of nearly 75,350 ft2 (7,000 m2) with a construction area of 43,055 square feet (4,000 m2). Products mainly cover various auxiliary materials of vacuum bags, which improve the company’s production capacity while also serving as a second global source to greatly improve Leadgo’s ability to mitigate risk.
The Mexico plant is beginning trial production in August 2021. After completion, Leadgo says it will increase production capacity by 30%.
