AVK releases composites recycling study in English

The German Federation of Reinforced Plastics, in partnership with IKK, offers a comprehensive overview of composites waste volumes by application sector.

“The Composites Recycling Study,” published by AVK – the German Federation of Reinforced Plastics (Frankfurt, Germany) in collaboration with the Institute of Plastics and Circular Economy (IKK), Leibniz University Hannover (Germany), is now available in English.

The publication offers a comprehensive overview of composites waste volumes by application sector. It presents the recycling solutions that are currently available and those being developed for the future. The advantages and disadvantages of the various processes are evaluated, and relevant legal requirements and standards are also considered.

The study was published in German in 2023. It was compiled by professor Hans-Josef Endres and Dr. Madina Shamsuyeva of IKK with the support of industry representatives from AVK’s Expert Working Group. The study’s table of contents can be viewed here.
