SPE ACCE extends abstract due date

Paper abstracts for the Sept. 8-10, 2021 event have been extended to June 7. Final papers or non-commercial presentations are due July 12.

The Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE, Brookfield, Conn., U.S.) Automotive Composites Conference & Expo (ACCE, Detroit, Mich., U.S.) team has extended the due date for abstracts to June 7, 2021 for the annual event that will occur Sept. 8-10, 2021 at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan.

The 2021 event ACCE features technical sessions, panel discussions, keynotes and exhibits highlighting advances in materials, processes and equipment for both thermoset and thermoplastic composites in a wide variety of transportation applications. 

The ACCE technical program will include papers/presentations on industry advances organized into the following categories:

  • Thermoplastic composites
  • Thermoset composites
  • Modeling
  • Additive manufacturing and 3D printing
  • Enabling technologies
  • Sustainable composites
  • Bonding, joining and finishing
  • Carbon composites
  • Business trends/technology solutions.

Paper abstracts are now due June 7, 2021 and final papers or non-commercial presentations are due July 12, 2021. Authors who submit full papers (not presentations) in the proper format will be considered for the conference’s Best Paper Awards, which are presented during the event’s opening ceremony.

SPE ACCE committee members also note that capacity and gathering restrictions and fask mask orders will be lifted in Michigan, effective July 1, 2021.
