SAMPE launches new report on the state of the technology industry

The inaugural release of SoTIR, in conjunction with a free summer webinar series, summarizes the latest composite and advanced materials industry advancements and trends.

The Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE, Diamond Bar, Calif., U.S.) announces the inaugural release of its 2023 State of the Technology Industry Report (SoTIR). The report, available for free on the SAMPE online store, was developed by the SAMPE Technical Committees (TC) mentioned below, under the oversight of the Technical Excellence Committee, and offers a convenient summary of the latest composite and advanced materials industry advancements and trends:

  • TC 1: Composites Factory of the Future-Industry 4.0
  • TC 2: Bonding and Joining
  • TC 3: High-Temperature Materials
  • TC 4: Recycling of Composites
  • TC 5: Rapid Manufacturing of Composites
  • TC 6: Thermoplastics
  • TC 7: Space Applications

In conjunction with this report, SAMPE will be hosting a summer webinar series covering key topics identified by a diverse group of experts from industry, academia and government participating on SAMPE’s TCs. Those interested in welcome to join the following three free 1-hour webinars:

“The SoTIR is a new project of SAMPE’s volunteer community that focuses on developing sustainable solutions to modern-day material and manufacturing challenges through collaboration across TCs,” Raj Manchanda, CTO for SAMPE, says.
