CompositesWorld (CW, Cincinnati, Ohio, U.S.), the B2B trade publisher serving the global composites manufacturing industry, is reporting a change in its leadership with the appointment of Rick Brandt as VP, Advanced Materials Media Brands, which includes CW. Brandt replaces Ryan Delahanty, who has led CW as publisher for the last 15 years.

Brandt, who previously worked at CW as a U.S. West Coast sales representative, has for the last three years served as publisher of CW sister publication Additive Manufacturing (AM). Brandt will continue to lead AM within the Advanced Materials Media Brands group and now add CW to his portfolio.

Brandt says he is pleased to be returning to the composites industry and looks forward to working again with the CW editorial and sales teams. “It’s great to be back with CW and I am eager to re-engage with the brand’s audience and advertisers,” says Brandt. “I see many opportunities to develop synergies between the composites and additive manufacturing industries and hope to continue the great progress Ryan has made with CW for the last decade-plus of leadership.”

Delahanty, for his part, has been promoted to executive VP of sales at Gardner Business Media (GBM, Cincinnati), which owns CW, AM and several other media brands that serve a variety of global manufacturing industries, including metalworking, plastics and moldmaking. Delahanty will also continue in his current role as the VP, Plastics Media Brands, which includes the Plastics Technology and Moldmaking Technology brands.

“It’s with great reluctance that I leave CW,” Delahanty says. “I have come to know the composites industry very well — audience and advertisers — and have enjoyed helping make CW such a strong voice for the composites community. However, I’m leaving CW in very capable hands and am confident that Rick will lead the brand into new markets and new products.”

Brandt will formally take the CW reigns at CAMX 2021, Oct. 19-21 in Dallas, Texas, U.S., and will be available there to meet customers and readers and answer questions about the brand and his leadership.
