Gurit (Zurich, Switzerland) has been awarded a silver medal for its sustainability performance from EcoVadis (Paris, France), said to be one of world’s the largest sustainability rating agencies. This places Gurit in the top 12% of all EcoVadis-rated companies.

The assessment reviews how a company manages more than 20 corporate social responsibility and sustainability criteria in terms of the environment, governance and business ethics, labor and human rights, as well as responsible procurement. The rating evaluates a company’s management systems and policies and is based on global standards such as the United Nations Global Compact, the Global Reporting Initiative and ISO-certifications.

After being awarded bronze in 2022, Gurit has made further progress in its sustainability efforts and is now positioned in the 88th percentile by EcoVadis.

As a composite materials supplier to the renewable energy sector and true to the company’s vision, “With passion for a sustainable future,” Gurit has formed a sustainability organization with eight dedicated workstreams, involving experts and representatives from across the organization, and is successfully engaging many of its employees in different sustainability projects worldwide.

Gurit will publish its Sustainability Report 2022 on March 2, 2023. More information on Gurit’s sustainability strategy can be found here.
