The trans-European project “Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Technologies United for LightwEighT” (AMULET) has launched its first open call to small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to participate and fully realize the potential of advanced lightweight materials, and is open until June 30, 2022 17:00 (CEST). Submit your proposal here.

The vision of the AMULET consortium is to make a significant contribution to reducing CO2 emissions in the EU by strengthening innovative, lightweight construction in SMEs. AMULET will focus on the development of three advanced materials and their implementation in automotive, aerospace, energy and construction industries: light metal alloys, ceramic matrix composites (CMC) and polymer-based composites (more about AMULET here).

A second call will eventually be organized. For this reason, the first open call will be selecting a minimum of two and a maximum of three legal entities —exclusively SMEs — to join the consortium and lead bottom-up projects that address the development, implementation and demonstration of determined technology and systems. The selected consortia will receive up to €120K (€60K for each SME), in addition to funding and business training support.

Moreover, the AMULET consortium is organizing a networking opportunity for SMEs interested in participating in the first open call, which will occur on June 15, 2022, at 10:00 CEST. SMEs will be able to participate in the event and use the platform to meet other companies to work together on their project. For those interested, register here.
