The Current Technology of Advanced Materials Molding and Manufacturing

September 21, 2023 |

The presentation will provide an overview of three focus area solutions: automated layup with draping, injection molding and filament winding.

In this presentation, Altair will focus on discussing and demonstrating the current democratized capabilities in advanced materials modeling, integrated manufacturing and structural simulation in the Altair HyperWorks suite of tools (Multiscale Designer, HyperMesh and OptiStruct) including Altair's injection molding manufacturing simulation offering Inspire Mold and the Altair Partner Alliance (APA) filament winding manufacturing simulation application TANIQWind Design. The presentation will provide an overview of three focus area solutions: automated layup with draping, injection molding and filament winding. In addition, the presentation will provide a foundation on key technology enablers: multiscale material modeling and ply slice modeling methods.

Agenda:

  • Advanced material modeling and demo
  • Integrated manufacturing and structural simulation
  • Composite layup solution workflow and demo
  • Injection molding solution workflow and demo
  • Composites pressure vessel (CPV) solution workflow and demo
