Synthene (Pont-Sainte-Maxence, France), a company with a strong history in resin formulation, promotes a range of its PU resin and elastomer products including HPE, PRF100, PRA794 and Cristal HRI 35 at CAMX.

The company’s high-performance PU elastomers (HPE) range is said to offer a  high level of versatility for projects such as tailor-made seals, hoses, wheels or concrete molds. This material can be either hand-casted, or used in a vacuum casting or two-component mixing machine, offering a wide variety of application possibilities.

Based on four components covering a hardness from 40 Shore A to 55 Shore D, the HPE system is wearproof and thus highly durable, with optimized tear resistance, abrasion resistance and high chemical resistance, which makes it adapted to harsh conditions, marine or engine environments. The product is also able to be cured in an oven or at room temperature.

Further, studies show that HPE’s formula guarantees a low exothermic reaction, making it suitable for both thin or very big parts, with a high level of detail.

Under its resin offerings, Synthene highlights its PRF100 food contact resin, compatible with a wide variety of foods including greasy food, liquids and some alcohols. PRF100 is food contact-compliant and also transparent.

The company’s PRA794 high flame-retardancy resin is a two-component system that retains very high mechanical, chemical and thermal properties for complete fire resistance. It also is characterized by its low aggressiveness on molds.

Finally, the Cristal HRI 35 is a new, transparent, clear casting resin with optical properties. It is also UV stable, and is suitable for mass casting and projects requiring inclusion. Additionally, Cristal HRI 35 can be cast by hand or by machine which makes it easy to use.

Reach out to Synthene for additional resins and elastomers product options, or for the formulation of tailor-made resins to meet specific project requirements.
