CAMX 2022 exhibit preview: Eurotherm
Energy savings, improvement of material properties and reduction of regulatory costs are benefits listed by Eurotherm as part of its heat treatment and composite solutions.
Eurotherm (Worthing, U.K.) says its specialist heat treatment and composites know-how can help customers save energy, improve material properties and reduce regulatory costs.
When maximizing throughput, fast-acting, reliable and repeatable precision controls is neccessary, according to the company. Eurotherm develops specific heat treatment and composites control algorithms and features for temperature, atmosphere, vacuum and energy management. Examples include autotune for quick setup of temperature instruments, recipe and setpoint management for repeatable thermal cycles, and instrument input accuracy and drift control for temperature reliability.
Rework, rejects and quality defects take time and money to resolve. Therefore, minimizing these issues is essential in the heat treatment and composites process, Eurotherm says. Temperature controllers, recorders and data acquisition systems designed to exceed the accuracy requirements of thermal specifications are meant to assist customers with reducing quality challenges and associated costs. According to the company, precision control and drift performance help provide confidence in meeting compliance from the first commissioning of the industrial furnace or oven to many repeat calibrations. Any data captured in a high-integrity format at the source is designed to offer a standard approach for internal quality control with accurate records and ease compliance to regulatory requirements.
As part of a sustainability-focused corporation, Eurotherm understands its role in helping its customers protect the planet’s natural resources. Thermal treatments of materials are energy-intensive industrial processes. By providing electrical power supply solutions and services, it aims to help clients transform from inefficient fossil-fueled processes to lower emission electric heating technologies that can reduce overall energy use.
Eurotherm’s products, services and solutions cover a range of needs. Data recorders assist with data management, available in front panel and DIN rail mount options. The data server and reviewer suits furnace or oven, production and enterprise requirements. Discrete instruments are offered with 1/16, 1/8 and 1/4 DIN single- and multi-loop PIO controllers and are now available with a Factory Mutual (FM) approved temperature limit option. Power switches, compact power controllers and advanced SCR power control reportedly provide power control to Eurotherm’s clients. Finally, Eurotherm offers a system with supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) solutions for furnace or oven, production line and enterprise requirements.
