Scott Bader (Wellingborough, U.K.) announces that Scott Bader Pvt Ltd. (SBPL, India) has acquired the commercial business of Satyen Polymers Pvt Ltd. (Mumbai, India), a company that manufactures resins for the composites industry.

The expanded partnership will see SBPL assume responsibilities for direct sales and marketing for all resin and gelcoat products, while Satyen Polymers manufactures for SBPL. In addition, SBPL will expand its product range using Scott Bader technology to bring industry leading composite and adhesive products to the Indian market.

The newly established company demonstrates Scott Bader’s commitment to the Indian market and its highly valued customers, in addition to its +£20 million investment announced in April.

“We are delighted as a group to be able to build on our long-established relationships in India to bring best-in-class composite and adhesive products to the increasingly globally competitive Indian market,” Jonathan Stowell, Scott Bader’s group commercial director, says, “including our Crystic, Crestapol, Crestabond, Crestomer and Crestafix brands.”

SBPL is the latest addition to Scott Bader’s growing global presence. In 2021, Scott Bader established Scott Bader Italy and announced a $16 million investment in a new 110,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Mocksville, North Carolina.
