On Nov. 16 the Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE, Diamond Bar, Calif., U.S.) North America announced that Zane Clark, SAMPE North America CEO, is departing effective Dec. 14, 2022, to accept an executive position with the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA, Diamond Bar).

During his 2.5 years as CEO, Clark successfully guided SAMPE through the pandemic, repositioned SAMPE’s portfolio of assets and built a company culture that will serve as a platform for future success.

“Helping the passionate and committed volunteer leadership navigate the evolving events landscape and lead a world-class team has been humbling and rewarding,” Clark says. “What we collectively accomplished will firmly position SAMPE as a global leader in material and process engineering.”

Led by Scott Stephenson, SAMPE North America president and acting CEO, SAMPE will immediately begin an exhaustive search for Clark’s permanent replacement. “We remain financially strong, and leadership is poised to focus and align our strategic priorities to better serve our members and customers,” Stephenson says.
