On June 9, the Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE, Diamond Bar, Calif., U.S.) announced that Colleen Pritchett, president of the Americas Aerospace and Global Fibers business at Hexcel (Stamford, Conn., U.S.) will deliver the opening keynote speech at the upcoming SAMPE neXus event, taking place on July 29, starting at 8:00 a.m. PST on the new SAMPE 365 platform.

Pritchett’s speech, titled “The Future of Composites and Hexcel’s Vision for the Industry,” will cover how these materials apply to commercial aerospace, space and defense, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and advanced air mobility (AAM), as well as address the role these materials play in sustainability and helping customers reduce environmental impact.

Having joined the Hexcel team in 2018, Pritchett brings an international business acumen to her current position. Prior to Hexcel, Ms. Pritchett worked at E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Co. (Dupont, Wilmington, Del., U.S.) for 22 years in the aerospace, automotive, electronics, packaging and printing industries. She has reportedly led complex $1 billion+ global businesses and served as strategic planning manager supporting the CEO and Board for a $25 billion chemical and specialty materials firm. She is renowned for growing global businesses, leading turnarounds, improving profitability, championing the customer’s needs and motivating teams to deliver significant results.
