Professor Murray Scott, chairman of Advanced Composite Structures Australia (Port Melbourne, Australia), is the most recent recipient of the International Committee on Composite Material’s (ICCM) Scala Award. He was presented with the award at the 22nd International Conference on Composite Materials (ICCM22) banquet at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre (MCEC) on Aug. 15.

The award is presented every two years, and the selection decision for this year's award was made at the ICCM Executive Council in August 2017. Along with the award, Scott delivered the opening plenary lecture at ICCM22 last month. Scott spoke about “Advanced Composites Research and Innovation: an Australian Perspective.”
