Composite Engineering and Laser Projection: Improving Production Using a Digital Workflow

September 19, 2016 |

A significant portion of composite parts, across varied industries, are still manufactured with hand lay-up today. Laser projection systems have increased hand lay-up throughput by up to 80% versus template and mold scribing methods. However, errors, inconsistent lay-up processes and design change implementation pose challenges due to the lack of maintaining a digital workflow between the part being manufactured and the part designed for manufacturing. This webinar will demonstrate how solutions with an open-architecture, like LAP’s COMPOSITE PRO system including PRO-SOFT Software and Siemens PLM Software’s Fibersim for composite engineering and manufacturing, allow data interoperability to solve these challenges.
