In the halls of Congress and in agency offices in Washington, D.C. and around the country, the government touches our built environment every day. Join your fellow ACMA members in Washington to meet Members of Congress and agency leadership to educate them on the valuable capabilities of composites in revitalizing the nation’s degrading infrastructure. Don’t miss this opportunity to meet with elected and agency officials and advocate on behalf of your company and the composites industry.
This year, ACMA’s Infrastructure Day is being held in conjunction with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) roadmapping workshop. Workshop participants will discuss the obstacles to commercialization of current and emerging applications of composites in infrastructure. The goal of the workshop is to identify the barriers to the adoption of composites in infrastructure, outlines the critical data and modeling needs, addresses communication and education to end-users, and identifies the standards which need to be developed. ACMA workshop participants will be joined by several key stakeholders, including Department of Transportation engineers, designers, engineering firms, contractors, academia, and regulatory officials.
