Lipex Engineering to deliver basalt fiber nonwoven production line to China

New developments in productivity and quality to meet increasing growth in basalt fiber composites.

Lipex Engineering GmbH (Munich, Germany) will deliver a basalt fiber nonwoven tissue production line to the Chinese market, scheduled to begin operation in early 2020. 

This line will produce basalt fiber tissue primarily for the Chinese niche composite market, the company says. The yearly capacity of the line will be more than 140 million square meters with a running speed up to 180 m/min.This production line will feature developments to increase productivity and quality, Lipex says.

“This delivery continues the strong focus of Lipex Engineering in the Chinese glass and basalt fiber industry,” says Tapio Korhonen, commercial director. “Since change of ownership at the end of 2017, Lipex Engineering has been determinedly building new business and reputation with focus on customer orientation and new developments.”

The company says it plans to continue its growth focus on technology for basalt fiber production going forward.
