Optiveil & Optimat for Advanced Composites
TFP’s OPTIVEIL® and OPTIMAT® ranges have been specifically designed for composites.
A key advantage of these materials is their multifunctionality; they can simultaneously fulfil a number of different purposes within a composite structure. These range from aiding fabrication, to providing a high quality surface finish and imparting required functionality to the composite surface.
MULTIPLE BENEFITS FROM A SINGLE MATERIAL!
OPTIVEIL® and OPTIMAT® manufactured from short-chopped fibres, a small amount of organic binder and, in some cases, additional particulates or fillers. Our most popular fiber types include carbon, glass, aramid, polyester, thermoplastic and metal coated carbon, but we offer the expertise and capability to work with alternative, more specialised fiber types as well as manufacturing materials using precise fiber blends. OPTIVEIL® is manufactured in areal weights ranging from as low as 2 g/m² up to 34 g/m² and heavier areal weights (from 35 g/m² up to 400 g/m²) of equivalent materials are available as part of our OPTIMAT® range.
