Electroglide® surfacing film is an epoxy-based composite surfacing film with embedded metal mesh that is designed to protect aircraft composite parts from lightning strikes (LSP).    Electroglide provides superior airplane lightning strike protection of composite parts while improving the surface finish of the composite material after manufacturing.

Shared composite material property databases
For more than a decade, NASA, FAA, industry and academia have been working toward the goal of creating a centralized composite material property database similar to that for metals.
