Flow International Corp.’s (Kent, Wash.) new Mach Series waterjet cutters feature software upgrades, ultrahigh pressures (rated to 94,000 psi), new long-life intensifiers and direct-drive pumps, and three-dimensional (3-D) Dynamic Waterjet cutting advancements. The series includes Mach 4, which is said to be the most productive for flat and 3-D materials. It features a HyperJet 94i 94,000-psi intensifier pump; Dynamic XD for bevel and 3-D cutting of complex flat and non-flat parts; FlowXpert waterjet cutting software; SmartStream technology to optimize cutting speeds based on a variety of user-defined parameters; and FlowConnex remote waterjet monitoring system that allows the owner/operator to monitor the waterjet over the Internet and track system performance. Mach 3 features a HyPlex Hybrid 60,000-psi pump; a Dynamic Waterjet cutting system with ±10° of wrist motion for use on flat material cutting; and the FlowPro intelligent control system. Mach 2 emphasizes affordability with a JetPlex 55,000-psi direct-drive pump; a Paser ECL cutting system; and the FlowMaster intelligent control system.
