Huntsman Advanced Materials (Basel, Switzerland) has introduced two new two-component, toughened methacrylate adhesives systems, called ARALDITE 2021-1 and ARALDITE 2022-1, designed to replace ARALDITE 2021 and ARALDITE 2022 respectively.

Huntsman Advanced Materials (Basel, Switzerland) has introduced two new two-component, toughened methacrylate adhesives systems, called ARALDITE 2021-1 and ARALDITE 2022-1, designed to replace ARALDITE 2021 and ARALDITE 2022 respectively. Developed for auto interior modules, exterior finishes, lights, headlamps, repairs and aftermarket applications, these adhesives feature improved elongation at break, notable toughness and resilience to vibrations, dynamic loading, good mechanical impact resistance, and the ability to assembe dissimilar substrates. Non-sagging and gap-filling properies reportedly ease processing and make vertical application possible. In addition, the cartridge has been redesigned with a new application nozzle that is said to prevent cross-contamination between resin and activator, preventing the cartridge from being blocked by cured adhesive after first use.
