Magnum Venus Plastech (Kent, Wash.) has introduced their Flex Molding Process, a system that consists of injection systems, accessories and seals designed to optimize infusion with a better control of production. It eliminates large resin reservoirs and the need to premix resin, and it reduces the use of consumable tubing and fittings by using a mix/meter infusion system that provides a direct feed to the infusion membrane. Precision is enhanced by new accessories, including the Pneumatic Pressure Vacuum Sensor (PPVS-Infusion) and the infusion-specific Turbo Autosprue (TAS-14). Other features include a new “lockable” reusable bag membrane, large-bore feed pipes that reduce costs and consumable waste, Universal Membrane Fittings that provide a secure connection for the valves and a training package that covers the process, accessories and systems.
