New reinforced Petra Endurance Enhanced thermoplastic polyester resins from Honeywell Plastics (Morristown, N.J., U.S.A.) are designed to provide a balance between high fatigue strength and good surface appearance previously unavailable in high-glass-content thermoplastic compounds. Currently produced in the 7300 series, made with post-consumer recycled polyester, the product will also feature virgin polyester in the soon-to-be-released 7500 series. According to the company, the new resins demonstrate from 10 to 50 percent greater fatigue strength than other reinforced thermoplastics while a new additive package ensures surface quality.
