Sealant Equipment & Engineering Inc. (Plymouth, Mich., USA) has developed the Servo-Flo 505, a fixed-ratio, positive rod displacement, meter-mix dispense system designed for robotic-applied adhesive applications in the production and assembly of composite products. The system includes a servomotor drive for precision beads and dispense volumes. The fixed-ratio, rod displacement meter ensures the correct ratio and flow rate is dispensed onto the product being assembled. The system meters low- to high-viscosity two-component materials such as epoxies, acrylics, silicones and urethanes supplied by pumps or pressure tanks. The Servo-Flo 505 meter, control panel and supply can be floor-mounted, mobile-cart mounted or integrated with a robot dispensing system. Servo-Flo 505 has three levels of electronic controls: basic, intermediate and advanced, available to handle any production dispensing application, including manual applications. The control panel provides up to 254 preset dispensing sequences for different dispensing requirements per part. Each preset sequence allows a different flow rate for bead diameter or filling speed per part. The dispenser can also be programmed to provide four flow rates during dispense while maintaining ratio.
