Amber Composites Ltd. (Nottingham, U.K.) has developed Multipreg C640, a new low-temperature-curing cyanate ester resin system. It has been developed to cure at temperatures as low as 70°C/158ºF. C640 complements Multipreg C740, both of which are designed for high-temperature applications. 

Typical applications using Amber's cyanate ester technology include brake ducts and exhaust components for high-performance cars and unmanned aircraft such as the Schiebel Camcopter S100. Characteristics include a v

ariable cure system that can be processed at low to medium temperatures
; freestanding post-cure up to 300ºC/572ºF; 
Tg onset 335°C/635°F following 300ºC/572ºF post-cure; and four-day out life.
