CGTech (Irvine, Calif.) reported on Jan. 18 that it will introduce to the European market its VERICUT Composites Paths for Engineers (VCPe) at the JEC Europe 2012 show this month (March 27-29 in Paris, France). VCPe provides the features of the company’s established VERICUT Composites Programming (VCP) product, yet it is not configured to program a specific automated fiber placement (AFP) machine. VCPe enables design and production engineers to develop manufacturing strategies for composite parts and test for manufacturability in a virtual environment. At CGTech’s stand, visitors will be updated on projects that highlight the implementation and use of machine-independent, offline NC programming software for AFP machines.
