Datron Dynamics Inc. has introduced a new, compact high-speed machining center that features a 30,000-RPM spindle and a footprint of 59 by 55 inches (1,499 by 1,397 mm).

Datron Dynamics Inc.’s (Milford, N.H.) compact high-speed M75 machining center features a 30,000-rpm spindle and a footprint of 59 by 55 inches (1,499 by 1,397 mm). It has a solid granite machining table that provides a work area of 20 by 20 inches (508 by 508 mm). Its 1.2-kW machining spindle can achieve feed rates as high as 550 in/min (13,970 mm/min). The center is recommended for the production of panels and housings, milling of profiles and performing 2-D or 3-D engraving. Its standard features include a spray-mist coolant system, a 10-station automatic tool changer with tool database and tool-length sensor, Windows-based control software, a PC with flat-screen monitor and hand-held remote as well as a protective enclosure with lock out/tag out capability. Options include 3-D probing, integration of virtually any CAD/CAM software and a variety of integrated workholding solutions, including pneumatic clamping systems and the company’s proprietary VacuMate vacuum tables.
