Anker Stuy Composites (Friesland, Netherlands), a new
company within the Anker Stuy group, introduces an emission and styrene-free gelcoat to the composites market. The product is said to function like a traditional gelcoat, which references a 1:1 plug-in system where the
same hardener can be used.
Additional benefits include a lower theoretical consumption, high water resistance and non-yellowing. The gelcoat is also fully compatible with traditionally used polyester systems, including EP, polyurethane (PU) and methyl methacrylate (MMA) systems. Further, the product does not need to comply with ADR rules (the rules of transport and storage of dangerous/ flammable goods), enabling easier transportation and storage.
The four different gelcoat types are available at euroresins.com and imcdgroup.com.
