(Ulyanovsk, Russia) have signed an agreement on investment in the construction of a plant for production of blades for wind turbines in the Ulyanovsk region. The project will focus on blades for wind turbines, but could be further expanded.

Vestas is also planning to launch training programs to facilitate the skill and knowledge transfer necessary to setup local production, Vestas stated. The programs will be developed together with Ulyanovsk educational institutions.
