V System Composites (VSC, Anaheim, Calif., USA), a rapidly growing aerospace composite structures production company, announced on July 9 that its Quality Management Systems and Composite Special Processes have been approved by PRI for NADCAP Certification. Approved special processes included Prepreg/Adhesive Bonding, Core Processing and Liquid Resin Processing. The NADCAP Accreditation follows a recent 100 percent compliance AS9100 audit completed by Lloyd's Register to AS9100, Rev. B, recent Northrop Grumman ACS special process certifications (ACS-PRS), and inclusion to Boeing BQMS as an approved supplier.

“The company worked very hard to achieve these certifications" said Mike Louderback, VSC president. “VSC continues to grow as a production company and achieving these Industry awards continue to affirm our commitment to prime quality requirements and our production goals,” said Louderback.

Compliance with both the AS 9100 and NADCAP quality systems offers a clear path for additional Special Process Certifications to take advantage of the current company composite infrastructure, which includes an autoclave, significant resin transfer molding (RTM) capability and supporting composite design and fabrication facilities.

VSC anticipates a 30 percent growth in 2010 revenues, despite the challenges in the current economy, according to Louderback. “Our steady growth combined with our constant focus on exceeding our customers’ expectations leads us to believe that certification to a system like AS 9100 and NADCAP would help us manage our growth and still maintain a leading edge in customer focus.”
